lyrics
Forest of surrender please guide my path
Bowing trees once full of lives past
A familiar scene of nature and centuries
Flashes of dreams of memories
Suffering is imminent
Conducting the scourge
Losing control
I must let go
Conducting the scourge
Losing control
I must let go
Rituals of existence, ancient gods scribe
Of this eternal dilemma
Battle the feeling, overcome mortal emotions
Listen to their voices, screams of knowledge
Within me the light to ignite the scourge
Within me the light to ignite the scourge
Holding the treasure of my quest
Peer within to find a burning emblem
Peer within to find a burning emblem
Holding the treasure of my quest
Meditation, Creation, Elation
Reveal the truth of this nightmare
End this pain in my soul
End this pain in my soul
Rid of this disease holding me by a string
Let it sing, release my sadness from above
Heaven's gate rest a monolithic stone of eternal rest
A magic of potential inquest
Eternal rest, End my quest
Forests possessed, Universe behest
Within you the light to ignite the scourge
Within you the light to ignite the scourge
Holding the treasure of my quest
Peer within to find a burning emblem
Peer within to find a burning emblem
Holding the treasure of my quest
All or nothing on this bleak path
Winds of mountains pass
Caress the feeling I have lost
Caress the feeling I have lost
Conducting the scourge
Losing control
I must let go
Conducting the scourge
Losing control
I must let go

Californian quartet defining themselves as Sci-Fi black metal, maybe due to cosmic and interstellar topics, sounding like blackened death metal too ("The Maw"). It's a well-balanced melodic black metal album, with some fast-paced tracks and nice rhythmic transitions reminding me of Swiss band Celtic Frost (e.g. Terminal Odyssey). In other words not overly dominated by drum speed and also not sounding as extreme or as raw as some BM can be. sachavonkarl74

A beautiful journey from start to finish, with perfectly placed moments of gentility amidst the rhythmic intrigue and blast beats of their guest drummer. jsteadmanfan

Heaviest thing I’ve heard all year along with Altarage. Okay I’ve been listening to this record for the past two weeks and it just gets better and better. Dissonant grooves galore Jacob Ballance
