lyrics
The quest has been foreseen, a path unveiled
A fate unmatched
By reality
Dying lights, beautifully obscene nights
All or nothing on this lit path
Fog covered, littered with death
Be warned, this forest path
Consumes all
Consumes all
Except for your demise
Except for your demise
Except for your demise
Scroll of augury, void of empathy
Scroll of augury, void of empathy
Void of empathy
Obscured by fate
Obscured by fate
Follow the signs, the moon illuminates
The Moon illuminates, the red river of souls
Strength is the essence, rain pours from your soul
Ancient quests hold the truth of the universe
Dark shadows of the night
Accept this fate as one
Give into the light, despite the fear
Scroll of augury, void of empathy
Scroll of augury, void of empathy

Californian quartet defining themselves as Sci-Fi black metal, maybe due to cosmic and interstellar topics, sounding like blackened death metal too ("The Maw"). It's a well-balanced melodic black metal album, with some fast-paced tracks and nice rhythmic transitions reminding me of Swiss band Celtic Frost (e.g. Terminal Odyssey). In other words not overly dominated by drum speed and also not sounding as extreme or as raw as some BM can be. sachavonkarl74

A beautiful journey from start to finish, with perfectly placed moments of gentility amidst the rhythmic intrigue and blast beats of their guest drummer. jsteadmanfan

Heaviest thing I’ve heard all year along with Altarage. Okay I’ve been listening to this record for the past two weeks and it just gets better and better. Dissonant grooves galore Jacob Ballance
